We study the resonant photonic states of photonic double quantum well (PDQW) heterostructures composed of two different photonic crystals.The device concepts that exploit spin - orbit coupling for creating spin polarized current sources using nonmagnetic semiconductor resonant tunneling heterostructures, without external magnetic fields. The resonant inter band tunneling spin filter exploits large valenc e band spin orbit interaction to provide strong spin selectivity. The bi - directional spin pump induces the simultaneous flow of oppositely spin - polarized current components in opposite directions through spin - dependent resonant tunneling. The efficiency of resonant tunneling spin devices can be improved when the effects of structural inversion asymmetry (SIA) and bulk inversion asymmetry (BIA) are combined properly, and incorporated into device design. The current spin polarizations of the proposed devices are electrically controllable, and potentially amenable to high - speed modulation. In principal, the electrically modulated spin - polarized current source could be integrated in optoelectronic devices for added functionality.

The present study evaluated the anti - hyperglyce mic activity of the Ethyl acetate extra ct of Chionanthus zeylanica bark on blood glucose, Plasma insulin and glycoprotein contents of albino rats. CZEt was ad ministered at doses of 150, 300 and 450 mg/kg body weight respectively on streptozot ocin induced diabetic rats for 2 weeks. The aim of this study was to i nvestigate the e ffect of Ethyl acetate extra ct of Chionanthus zeylanica ( CZEt ) in streptozotocin induced diabetic, which w as induced in male albino rats by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (5 5 mg/kg). After injection, the animals were divided into f ive groups viz., control group, streptozotocin treated diabetic group, diabetic + CZEt (150,300,450 mg/kg) groups treated for 15 days. The study shows a significant increase in the levels of blood glucose, and plasma glycoproteins, while plasma insulin levels were significantly decreased in diabetic rats. There was also a significant decrease in the level of sialic acid and elevat ed levels of hexose, hexosamine in the liver and kidney of diabetic rats. Thus the study indicates that Chionanthus zeylanica L. possesses a significant beneficial effect on glycoprotein’s in addition to its antidiabetic action.

This present study w as aimed as formulation of new c ost effective RME (rice mill effluent medium) for the cultivation of Spirulina single cell protein and compared with standard Zarrouk’s medium to reduce Spirulina production cost. Methods and results Two strains of Spirulina platensis S3 and S4 were isolated from local temple ponds and characterized. The RME medium was formulated by using NaNO 3 as a nitrogen source andK 2 HPO 4 as a phosphorus source. Effect of different concentration of NaNO 3 (1.00, 1.50, 2.00 and 2.50 gL - 1 ) and K 2 HPO 4 ( 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 gL - 1 )and biomass production in the RME medium was examined and found NaNO 3 at 2.00 gL - 1 and K 2 HPO 4 at 0.3 gL - 1 recorded higher biomass.

Natural fibres have been used to reinforce mater ials for over 3000 years. More currently they have been employed in combination with plastics. Many types of natural fibres have been investigated for use in plastics i ncluding flax, hemp , jute, sisal and banana. Natural fibres have the advantage that they are renewable resources and ha ve marketing appeal. These agricultural wastes can be used to prepare fibre reinforced polymer composites for commercial use. A pplication of composite mater ials to structures has presented the need for the engineering analysis the present work focuses on the fabrication of polymer matrix composites by using natural fibres like coir,banana and sisal which are abundant nature in desired shape by the help of var ious structures of paterns and calculating its material characteristics(flexural modulus, flexural rigidity, hardness number,% gain of water) by co nd ucting tests like flexural test, hardness test, water absorption test, impact test, density test, and their results are measured on sections of the material and make use of the natural fibre reinforced polymer composite material for automotive seat shell manufacturing

Working sex ratio is an important in population geography. Already widely established is the finding of an employment of huge volume of agriculture labours on large holdings owned by landlord’s agriculture castes, which live on the earnin g from their land not cultivated by themselves. The sex based segmentation of the agriculture labour is further controlled by specific agronomic practices involved in the growing of certain crops in particular areas. It is clear, therefore, that the employ ment of female agriculture labours in controlled by a large number of significant social, economic, agronomic, and cultural factors which are simultaneously expressive of a part of the varying characteristics of the area. In study region working sex ratio was 532 during 1961 decade. According to 2001 census female working sex ratio was 650 in study region.
